memories are vivid, sitting at a tiled coffee table of her mothers with coloured pencils or in her bedroom making clothes for beloved doll Rosetta, the hours melting by, oblivious to her name being called for the third time to come and eat.

She is a self taught multi discipline artist who after leaving London has lived on the extraordinarily beautiful coast of Dorset since 1994.

Her work is informed by her experience, interests and environment, seeking to convey this powerful subliminal impact  she explores themes of surrender, release and acceptance, her work acknowledging the energy that connects everything.

She chooses the discarded; magazines, sea glass, rusty metal that spews onto the beach from a Victorian tip, leather from sofas and belts, stories written on their surface from years of use.

From the pages of her daughters vogue subscription, thousands of tiny pieces of ripped paper are used in an unimpeded intuitive abstraction to create her collages of unattached mindfulness, a visual representation of her unique artistic drive.

Her practice oscillates between her desire for control and the freedom of the subconscious, the dance and balance between the two is visually exquisite with each piece evolving from a journey of the unexpected.

She looks to notice and celebrate potential in the ordinary, to work with the history and scars, using her love of colour, texture and design to manifest something of worth and beauty.

Once reinvented and complete what was consigned for removal has taken on a new life and personality, able to evoke emotion or with use acquire additional evidence of a life creatively extended.

Her work has been exhibited at solo and group shows, accepted and hung by the RWA and Cork St, collected privately and worn publicly, bought at fair and sold from her sisters shop and is currently on display at Hix Oyster House Lyme Regis.

Inclusive creative projects and proposals are underway with an exhibition booked for June 23.

She invites to share her road and enjoy the journey of the discarded.
